5 Ways To Stay Active Through The Winter

Baby it's cold outside! Living in Seattle we have pretty timid weather. It doesn't usually get unbearably cold here - but it gets really grey, dark and rainy, and that can be depressing - depressing is NOT motivating. Over New Years I was visiting family in Logan Utah. I decided to get up one morning and go for a run.... that's when it hit me what a lot of you suffer through in the winter time. This picture is what my weather app was telling me was going on outside. Um.... 1 degree? That's not going to happen. My lungs would be frozen before I hit the first marker. So I had to get creative and workout in the basement. The kids joined in, we had a great workout, and had a lot of fun. Don't let your workouts suffer in the winter. Here are 5 great ways to keep yourself active and in shape when the weather is less than desirable.

STUR - All Natural Water Flavoring

We all know we need to drink a lot of water to keep our bodies hydrated and flushed of toxins, but most of us don't get enough. I just found this all natural product on Amazon a while ago and love it, so I thought I would share.

These are all worth while goals, but many times we set unrealistic standards for ourselves that are too hard to reach so we give up in the end. Pumpkin Flax Granola Bar

I'm not afraid to admit that I have a new obsession with my food. These granola bars are amazing and I have a hard time eating just one they are so tasty. The great thing, however, is if you couple them with a piece of fruit one is enough. They are perfect for filling an empty stomach halfway through the day and keeping hunger at bay for quite some time after consuming them. Oh, and did I mention that they are amazingly delicious?! I can't wait for snack time!
