I read a quote a while ago that has stuck with me for a lot of years. I don't remember who it was, but it was an elite marathoner who was being interviewed after winning the race he was in. He had finished the marathon in just a little over 2 hours, and the interviewer was making a big deal about how good of a time he got. His comment back was something to this effect: "It was a difficult race, but I was done in a couple of hours. The real hero's are the ones still out there. The ones who have been running for 4-5 hours, but are still out there fighting for the finish. Those are the people that I really look up to." What a great thing to say! Hats off to those who keep going, who have a difficult time but continue to fight the fight, and who do their best no matter where that is. It doesn't matter what other people are doing, and how hard they work, just work your hardest - not theirs.
